large scale Fabric Walling in public buildings
Cardiff Museum contacted The Fabric Walling Company directly after having difficulty finding an experienced firm to carry out this large, ambitious project. The walls in the National Museum of Wales in Cardiff are five metres from floor to ceiling with up to twenty-two widths of fabric on the length of a single wall. The fabric was sourced from Gainsborough and was specially dyed to the specified colour, chosen by the museum. The damask designed fabric had to be light upholstery weight for durability. The project was partially funded by the National Lottery through a building contractor carrying out extensive refurbishment work which The Fabric Walling Company worked alongside.
